We are Liza, Layla & Eva a mother-and-daughters team from the Deep South of Cape Town who decided to turn our love for the sea, creativity, and adventure into something meaningful.

beach days, ocean swims, shell collecting, tidal pool exploring, and discovering the magic beneath the surface with our snorkels and goggles always close by.
The ocean has never just been a place for us. It’s where we reconnect. It’s where we slow down. It’s where we find adventure, stillness, and a sense of wonder.

Not long ago, African penguins thrived in the millions along South Africa and Namibia’s shores. Today, their numbers have plummeted dramatically. Overfishing, climate change, oil spills, and habitat disruption have pushed them dangerously close to extinction. They are now classified as endangered, and without intervention, we could lose them within our lifetime.
These penguins are part of the Deep South identity. They swim the same waters we do. They live where we explore, surf, and dive.At Deep South, the African penguin isn’t just a mascot it represents everything we stand for: Ocean conservation, local pride and protecting what we love.
That’s why we’ve committed to supporting SANCCOB (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds), the incredible organisation working on the frontlines to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured penguins back into the wild. 5% of our profits go to SANCCOB to save our local penquins.
